First off Congrats to Kameron on getting a 2nd place victory in the noseriding division of the Noosa Festival... Reese has been looking for the past few months for that one perfect board that he could ride and shred on... He has his Jon Wegener noserider that he kills it on and is his favorite board but he was looking for something that wasn't so much just a noserider and more of a all around board that he could slash a little harder on. He came across the Rick Dru Harrison Model by Matt Calvani and was stoked!! He knew that this was a board that would work and that he could customize and make smaller and more pulled in... so he went to the shaping bay with Mr. Calvani, who was nice enough to take the time and dial it in with him and this is the board that they came out with after a few hours in the bay. It started off being a dru harrison blank but came out as something a lot different... The Chocolate Chip!! Reese was soo stoked and can't wait to get the board when its done and shred on it. Big thanks to Matt and Margaret of Bing Surfboards for getting the blank and shaping a sick board!! Here are some shots taken of Matt shaping and a little video as well. ENJOY!! : )

The Land Down Under

He made it... Kameron has settled in now in the land down under of Australia and is going on his first full week of being there and Kam seems more than pleased to be where he is at. With warm weather of about 85 degrees and a water temp of about 75... From the looks of thing Kam seems as if he is not going anywhere anytime soon. The past two years of going to Oz and returning this year for his third he has been lucky enough to celebrate his birthday with his fellow Ozzies and friends in Australia!! Now for anyone that is what you have to call living the life and the dream. : ) Who knows when KB will be returning home from OZ but I think we all can expect a long extended trip from the guy. And off he goes again... Kameron Brown has embarked yet again on an epic journey down under into the land of the OZ. KB has been going to this magical place now for the past three years and last year ended up booking his flight for a three week stay and extended it for three months. No worries!! Kameron is that kind of guy and he is always down for an adventure. He says he is going for a two and a half week stay but knowing that guy its gonna turn into at least a good three months if not the rest of his life : ) KB will be updating us along his adventure this year and be sending out photos from his journeys of the nasal passage and any others. Check out this video of team rider Kameron Brown up in Santa Cruz for the third stop on the Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational. He and good friend Nathan Adams, who was a first alternate in the contest, decided to caravan it up there in Kameron's Panda van and arrived to find perfect waves good people and awesome vibes. This is a little video shot by someone up on the cliffs at Steamers Lane and there are some sick waves of Kam showing the people up North how we do things down here.

Kameron has been working on this perfection of a surfboard for about the last two months and he finally got the call from the guys down at the Canvas Surfboard factory that the first ever Kameron Brown model was finished!! He was quick to hop in the car and get down there to pick up the board and go shred it. He is so amped about how it came out and it looks awesome for a first surfboard ever shaped. Reese Bell Bio Film

Surf team captain, Reese Bell, has been working with fellow friend and videographer Kevin Curran building up some sick new bio films for all the guys at Icons of Surf. This last week we decided we would go and get a little surf in at San O and get some footage to start making these new films and although the waves weren't totally firing the boys managed to get out there and do what they do best!! Kevin managed to set up a film studio session for all the boys to be able to get full length interviews and film segments that look totally awesome!! Keep checking the blog for upcoming bio films on Matt Suckle and Kameron Brown.

Thanks again to Kevin for putting in all the time to filming these videos and editing to the fullest!! He is an awesome kid that has a super bright future ahead of him behind the lenses.

KB Special Ladies & Gentlemen

Team rider Kameron Brown is always on the move. From surfing, fishing, traveling the world, mountain biking, more surfing, and whatever else Kameron can think of, he is always going and wanting to do something. He recently was telling us about this new board that he was shaping with his good friend and shredder himself Max Dexter out of his garage. Kam Bam worked on this board for countless hours and made it his goal to perfect this board and make it work. After three or four sessions in Max's garage Kam was stoked to see that the board was done and ready to be glassed. So from there Kam called up his good friend Christian Wach over at the Canvas Surfboard factory and Christian was more than happy to let Kameron go to town on glassing his board and getting it all dialed in at the factory. Kam recently just got back from a three week excursion in the islands of Hawaii and was more than please to return and finish this epic board. Check out a few of the photos of Kameron creating this masterpiece of equipment!!

Matt Suckle Nose-Ride Sequence

This past Thursday Reese decided to round up the gang and go for a little surf. Matt Suckle, Kameron Brown and many others. We pulled up to the parking lot and came to find that it was going off!! The boys all jumped in their wetsuits and ran as fast as they could to get in the water and get some waves. Reese was out there surfing holding his GoPro HD in his mouth and somehow surfing at the same time. Kameron pulled into one of the sickest barrels of the day and came out, Matt Suckle got some of the most insane nose rides and so on and so on. The waves only got better as they surfed and the weather went from terrible to epic!! Here are a few photo shots Reese took with his camera and some sequence shots of the Icons boys showing what they do best.

Check out this afternoon session with Kris Carlow, Icons of Surf store manager, having an epic surf with team captain Reese Bell up at middles.

There was somehow not a single person out and the waves got better and better when we got into the water. We surf until dark and had an amazing session all to ourselves!!

When summer comes along everyone knows what that means.. South Swells!! And the best place to be on a good south is the ol' boneyard at Doheny. Its been a consistent head high for about the last week with this last big south we had and Kameron and Reese were shredding out there everyday. We managed to catch this day out there and it was one hell of a time and the waves were firing!

O-side Takayama Pro Noseride contest

Kameron "Kame Bam" Brown, Reese's cup, and Matt "Suckfest" Suckle all decided to join in the Guy Takayama Pro Noseride contest down at the ol' south Oceanside Pier and it was one hell of a good time! : )

Matt and Kameron went out for both of their heats and no one knows what happened but they were just not on the TIP. Reese however went out for his first heat against Tommy Witt and David Arganda and went on to advance into round 3 where he got 3rd behind Mr. Andy Nieblas. Andy who is another employee at Icons of Surf and one hell of a surfer and he is only 15 goin into high school!!

There were some good things happening and we were all apmed to be apart of the contest and stoked that Reese and Andy advanced and made it through some rounds
